MAILOMATIC V1.6a
ADMIN PANEL DEMO

Mailomatic Administration Panel
To access the Administration functions of Mailomatic, you normally type in the 'admin' password instead of an emailaddress. (default is 'mom' but we strongly suggest you change this in the configuration script header). You do this through the normal "subscription" form you are using for the online users of the script. We have embedded the password in a "button" for this page.
Once in the Mailomatic Admin Panel, all 'adds' and all 'deletes' are written directly to the mail list database. The Admin Panel also allows you to choose whether or not to send a 'confirmation' notice to the mail address just added/deleted.  These 'confirmations' explain how to unsubscribe/resubscribe in case of accidental errors - in real usage, not sending out the confirmations means that the only way for the customer to unsubscribe is by contacting you (that is, you will have to delete them manually).

Important Update :
In all previous versions of Mailomatic, the Unix system call "sort" was used. It called in the admin panel DHTML to sort the subscriber list alphabetically - we thought it looked nice and made the screen easier to use.
However, we found problems with some webhosts that don't allow access or don't provide "sort" to their users. If your system did not include the "sort" call, you could not access the admin panel !. Since this is the only way to manage Mailomatic, this obviously becomes a huge pain. We haven't yet tried to write another sort algorithm in Perl - look out for Mailomatic V 2.0 !! - but we have given you the choice on whether or not to enable it. That is, a "switch" to turn off "sort" is now in the main configuration panel of Mailomatic.pl.
Sorry to all those "bitten" by the bug, hope this helps.
