GEOFF BARRETT

Geoff is a bit of a 'feral bandolero'! Well he used to play bass with a band of that name. One of the many Darwin groups this multi- instrumentalist has performed with, since he made his way from his birthplace of Katanning, WA eventually to Darwin, ten years ago.  From jazz to folk to reggae, also proficient on drums and keyboards, he has contributed much to the local scene, while still finding time to write and record his own compositions. Very much the musical mentor, Geoff  runs a music program with the Red Cross Youth Leisure Centre - The Shak. It was here in 1992 that he discovered the talents of Djulpa and Noeletta and soon helped them form a band.  A fine guitarist, Geoff is the glue that binds the rhythms and melodies of Wild Water's Saltwater sound. back
