NOELETTA YOUNG

One of the driving forces behind the formation of Wild Water, Noely - as she  is affectionately known - was born in Darwin on the 7/7/77. Her mother, Coral, was of desert dwelling southern Luritja people, but Noely grew up with the Saltwater people of Larrakia country and spent her holidays on the Arnhem Land coast. She is presently researching her maternal grandmother's history, for evidence in an indigenous land claim. A strong personality, this young mother of two is a writer of fine lyrics. Noely's social, environmental and political concerns come through with a  vengeance in the Wild Water songs - "Difrent Colours" and "Blak History". back
